PENGARUH LOCUS OF CONTROL TERHADAP KONFLIK PERAN DAN AMBIGUITAS PERAN DENGAN ETIKA KERJA ISLAMI SEBAGAI VARIABEL ANTARA (STUDI PADA SEKOLAH TINGGI ILMU EKONOMI BANK BPD JATENG SEMARANG)
ABSTRACTrnThis research was conducted at the scope of Bank BPD Jateng School of Economics, a higher education institution which is located in the city of Semarang. The aims of this research were (1) to analyze the influence of locus of control to the role conflict with Islamic Work Ethics as intervening variable. (2) to analyze the influence of locus of control to the role ambiguity with Islamic Work Ethics as intervening variable. (3) to analyze the difference of impregnability in Islamic Work Ethics upholding among internalizer type and externalizer type of educative staffs and employees. (4) to analyze the influence of Islamic Work Ethics to the role conflict. (5) to analyze the influence of Islamic Work Ethics to the role ambiguity. The population of this research was 68 educative staffs and employees of Bank BPD Jateng School of Economics. Whereas the number of sample was 55 educative staffs and employees which believe in Islam through purposive sampling method. The data of the research was obtained by questionnaires, literature study, and documentation. Later, to the questionnaires of the research, validity and reliability tests were conducted. And so classical assumptions tests (including heteroskedasticity and normality tests). By those several tests conducted, all criterions can be fulfilled. To test the validity of each hypothesis, regression and path analysis were applied. Based on those both analysis, several conclusions on each hypothesis were formulated. They were: (1) Locus of Control has significant influence to role conflict with Islamic Work Ethics as intervening variable (Hypothesis 1) is rejected. (2) Locus of Control has significant influence to role ambiguity with Islamic WorkrnEthics as intervening variable (Hypothesis 2) is rejected, too. (3) The educative staffs and employees with internalizer type are more impregnable in Islamics Work Ethics upholding than the externalizer type ones (Hypothesis 3) is accepted. (4) Islamic Work Ethics has significant influence to the role conflict (Hypothesis 4) is rejected. (5) Islamic Work Ethics has significant influence to the role ambiguity (Hypothesisrn5) is rejected, too. rnrnKey Words: Locus of Control, Islamic Work Ethics, Role Conflict, and Role Ambiguity.
