ABSTRACTrnThis research was conducted with object of PT Bank CIMB Niaga, Tbk. The aim of research was to analyze the impact of merger decision to the corporate financial performance of PT Bank CIMB Niaga, Tbk. through CAMEL criterion before and after merger. This research belonged to comparative research because it compared financial performance of PT Bank CIMB Niaga, Tbk. before and after merger. Whereas, the population and sample was entire information related with financial aspects of PT Bank CIMB Niaga, Tbk. Data used were various secondary data collected through documentation and literature study. To measure financial performance, appraisal method through CAMEL criterion was applied. Whereas, hypothesis testing was conducted through paired sample t-test method. Based on financial performance appraisal through CAMEL criterion and hypothesis testing conducted, the conclusion of research formulated is that merger process did not gave significant impact to corporate financial performance or there was no significant difference of financial performance before and after merger.rnrnKey Words: CAMEL, merger, and financial performance.
