ABSTRACTrnBasically every company needs an effective working capital management and efficient in order to maximize profits. This study aimed to examine the effect of working capital management on profitability in non-financial publicly traded company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2009-2012. Cash conversion cycle, working capital turnover, liquidity is used to measured of Management working capital, while profitability is proxied by net profit margin (NPM). This research was conducted with a purposive sampling method with predetermined criteria and obtained a total sample of 224 non-financial publicly traded companies during the study period from 2009 to 2012. The analysis technique used in this study is a multiple linear regression using the statistical t test and F test results show that the cash conversion cycle of negative, working capital turnover of negatif and liquidity of positive effect on profitability. Measure of the goodness of this research model was 12.6%.rnKeywords: Net Profit Margin (NPM), the cash conversion cycle, liquidity, working capital turnover, sales growth.
