ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to obtain empirical evidence of the influence of management confidence, growth opportunities, asset tangibility, profitability, and the size of the company's capital structure on Manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research objective was to determine the extent of the influence of management confidence, growth opportunities, asset tangibility, profitability, and the size of the company's capital structure is measured using DER. This study using purposive sampling method in selecting samples from Manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2009 to 2013. The data obtained during the observation of as many as 185 samples. Analysis of the data used is of the model analysis of multiple linier regression test. The results showed that management confidence and negatively affect the profitability of the capital structure. Growth opportunities and the size of the company a positive impact on the capital structure. While the tangibility of assets has no effect on the capital structure. Adjusted R Square value in the study of 0,303. This shows that 30.3% of capital structure can be affected by variables management confidence, growth opportunities, asset tangibility, profitability, and the size of the company's, while 69.7% is influenced by other variables outside the research.
